So here comes an another different kind of movie from a debutant director Basil Joseph, Kunjiramayanam is not much different, but after a long time we got a chance to see a classic village movie. Vineeth Sreenivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan joining together for the first time in on screen.
The story is about Kunjiraman and his friends in the village, named Desam. It is also about Salsa, something that you will get an idea about after watching the film. It is also about marriages.

The movie is narrating in a platform of humour to describe the life of Kunjiraman and his friends. Every humour plots in the movie could strike a chord and make everyone laugh. His treatment of the movie is a definitely different giving a new level of viewing experience. Only thing is that we should watch it just like reading some comic books.
The start is good and the portions towards the end is also an entertaining one to watch. In between these two, the script somewhat runs without much to show repeating things. It is here that the film's focus just drift away and that flow is lost.
On screen, Vineeth Sreenivasan got a character with lot of fun and energy to display on screen and most of the scenes will reminds you his father's roles in the similar nature that he portrayed in late eighties and early part of nineties.
Dhyan Sreenivasan was absolutely perfect for that character. Mamukoya, Neeraj Madhav, Deepak Parambol, Aju Varghese, Sudheer Karamana, Shrinda and rest of the cast also put up a neat effort in front of the camera.
Technical Analysis
Cinematography by Vishnu Sharma and edits by Appu Bhattathiri were nice, all the shots was nice and apt for the plot of the movie. Songs had a different feel and Salsa song was too good, music for the movie done by Justin Prabhakaran, he done awesome tracks for Tamil movies like ‘Pannaiyarum Padminiyum’ and ‘Orange Mittai’ . The song sung by Shankar Mahadevan with Vineeth in picture is also okay one. Bijipal's little daughter sings the title credit song which was also a nice one to hear.
Deepu Pradeep’s ScreenPlay was good but after the break it lags some sort of the portions, but everything covers by the logical comedy portions of the movie.
The movie is produced by Suvin K. Varkey, under the banner of Little Big Films. And the movie is distributed by E4 Entertainment.
Rating : 7 / 10
Box Office Analysis
We think like that Basil Joseph and his team made an above average classic comedy movie, and which loves all the malayalies. Especially Onam season is a positive impact for the movie, and it surely love family audience.
