Dileep's 'Ivan Maryada Raman' is reached theater today. It is a remake of 2012 Bollywood movie 'Son of Sardar'. But it is a again a version of 2010 Telngu Movie 'Maryada Raman' directed by SS Rajamouli and which was based out of the Hollywood movie 'Our Hospitality' released in 1923 and was first adapted in a Kannada film 'Balagalittu Olage Baa' released in 2002 directed by Dinesh Baboo.
In hindi version Ajay Devagan and Sonakshi Sinha in lead role.
From Hollywood its remade in 3 indian languages already and now its reached in Malayalam.
The story of the movie is all about the man who returns to his village and becomes the target in an old family feud.
Story Line
The story revolves around two families, whose patriarch killed each other many years ago. Their respective sons. Dileep's character has been in hiding by his family from the family enemies, whereas the other family is waiting for his return in the village so he can avenge the death of his father.
The lead character Raman, enacted by Dileep, is an employee in a rice mill in Pune. He used to carry the rice to the mill for processing on a bicycle. Later he decides to buy an auto rickshaw and goes to his village to borrow money from his mother to buy his dream vehicle. But once he reaches his village he is shocked to find a gang of people waiting there to kill him.The rest of the event forms the crux of the plot.
On the train, he meets Nikii Galrani and falls in love with her without knowing her family background. Rest of the movie is all about how he escaped from the family enemies.
Analysis
Songs and music by Gopi Sundar was awesome, but in the most of the song Nikki Galrani fails to lip synchronization with lyrics. Its already in news because of Rs. 1.5 cr house set. Vijay Ulaganath's camera works are the highlight of the movie.
By story wise and screen play wise, there is nothing new from Son of Sardar, Udaykrishna - Siby K Thomas just re-phased the movie with copying most of the scenes exactly the old versions.
BottomLine
Its just a fun family entertainer for this vacation season.
Box Office Analysis
There is nothing to worry, as a Dileep movie its giving 100% box office assurance. Other competitors like 'Ennum Eppozhum' and 'Vadakkan Selfie' may be a a big negative impacts for this movie in box office.
