Manjima who has won the hearts of the moviegoers for her screen
appearance in movies like 'Madhuranombarakattu', 'Priyam',
'Sundrapurushan' and 'Mailpeelikkavu' is now appearing in a lead role in Prajith's directorial debut "Oru Vadakkan Selfie"
Manjima Mohan, the daughter of popular cinematographer Vipin Mohan and Girija was looking for an opening in movies just after completing her studies.
"Oru Vadakkan Selfie" scripted by Vineeth Sreenivasan, getting a wide positive response from all quarters and its lead actress Manjima Mohan is allowing herself the pleasure of basking in the adulation. However in a recent interview, the actress said that her re-launch in movies was quite accidental.
"Acting was not even in my mind and was planning to go for a job after college . But when the makers approached me with the script of Oru Vadakkan Selfie, I totally love," says Manjima adding that she is looking for performance-oriented roles now.
Hopes so she got an awesome re-entry by Vineeth's excellent script.
Manjima was born on 11th March 1993 as the daughter of popular cinematographer Vipin Mohan and Girija. After completing her plus two from Nirmala Bhavan High School, Manjima joined the Stella Maris College in Chennai for her degree in Mathematics. Manjima also served as a college bearer, treasurer in the college union.
Manjima entered the film industry as child artist giving life to Shobana’s early age in Kaliyoonjal. Later she acted in 8 movies including ‘Maduranombarakattu’. She won the prestigious Kerala State Award for best child artiste for her majestic appearance in the movie 'Madhuranombarakattu' directed by Kamal. Manjima also was credited with the state award for her performace in a short film ‘Kabooliwala’. She also give life to characters in Priyam’, ‘No.1 Snehatheeram Banglore North’, ‘Sundrapurushan’, and ‘Mailpeelikkavu’.
