Complete Review
Bangalore Days is a Comedy-Romantic
Entertainer. It is a fun narrative about three young people who crossover from
Kerala to Bangalore to dream, discover and explore. Nazriya Nazim, Nivin Pauly
and Dulquer Salman are cousins. They individually took a different paths after
reaching Bangalore, to fulfill their dreams.
Movie became more
interesting when Fahadh Fazil joins with these cousins. The main crux of the
movie is how the life of bangalore effects these cousins. Parvathy Menon, Isha
Talwar and Nitya Menon are also do some important roles in Bangalore Days.
Bangalore Days is directed by Anjali Menon and
produced by Anwar Rasheed under the banner of anwar rasheed entertainment and
weekend blockbusters. Cinematography of the movie is handled by Sameer Thahir
whereas, Gopi Sunder scores music for the movie.
Performance
Dulquar Salman is back
with a bang, and it is his best performance after Ustad Hotel. He shares more
screen space in the film compared to Nivin Pauly and Fahadh Fasil.
Nivin Pauly got a
better screen space in 1st half compared to 2nd half, while Fahad Fazil got
more screenspce in 2nd half.
Nazriya and Parvathi
were good among female leads, rest of the cast are fine and perfect.
Script And Direction
Anjali Menon is best in
both the fields- as a director and a scriptwriter. She has become successful in
mixing all the necessary elements in the film, which makes Bangalore Days a
perfect family entertainer. Slow pace in the second half seems to be
unavoidable.
Technical Analysis
Sameer Thahir's Frames
are superb, which is the main highlight of the movie. A Bangalorean, who don't
even understand Malayalam language will fall for Bangalore Days for Sameer
Thahir's camera work.
Praveen Prabhakar would
have avoided the slow pace of the film in the second half with his editing
techniques.
Songs And BGM
Gopi Sundar's Songs
were superb and Background score has been proportionately mixed with the
movie's pace. Track 'Maangalyam' crooned by Vijay Yesudas, Sachin Warrier and
Divya is so nice.
Mallus will love this
movie, especially those who live outside Kerala.
Great opening all over Kerala
and other metro cities. Overall about 205 releasing centers for the movie is a
great factor. According to our trade analysis about 60% of releasing centers
are multiplex / Malls , that will be an another great supporting factor.
Only negative factor is
the reopening of the schools and colleges on coming week. But we hope that, it
will not affect much more, because of a wide release of 107 theaters in outside
kerala. 19 theaters in Bangalore, 2 in Mysore, 2 in Mangalore, 1 in Manipal, 8
in Chennai, 2 Nasik, 1 Madurai, 2 Coimbatore, 2 Hyderabad, 2 Goa, 9 in Pune, 33
in Mumbai, 12 in Gujarat, 11 in NCR, 1 in Rajasthan.
The movie was shot in
Kochi, Bangalore, Pondicherry, Chennai and Hyderabad, at a budget of 8.5 crore (US$1.4 million).
