'Chattakkari' is the remake of K. S. Sethumadhavan directed 1974 film by the same name based on Pamman's famous novel. It is a love story of an Anglo-Indian girl and a Hindu boy. She has a child out-of-wedlock in secret.
Produced by Suresh Kumar under the banner of Revathy Kalamandir the new Chattakkari is directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan's son - Santosh Sethumadhavan. Hemanth Menon and Shamna Kasim don the lead roles and rest of the cat includes HariKrishnan, Innocent, Sukumari, and Suvarna. Chattakkari will be releasing in Kerala in June 2012.
